Current Progress:

The finish line is in sight. What a journey it has been.

Pat has traveled thousands of miles, crossed multiple states, and turned countless conversations into opportunities to raise awareness, share hope, and support the mission of Ride Pat Ride. From mountain climbs and rural backroads to bustling cities and welcoming communities, every mile has reinforced why this journey matters.

Now, with the finish line drawing closer, Pat has entered the final stretch of the ride. While the remaining miles are fewer than those already traveled, the purpose behind each day remains as strong as ever. Along the way, Pat continues to connect with supporters, share stories, and shine a light on the challenges and realities faced by those living with type 1 diabetes.

This ride has never been just about reaching a destination. It is about creating awareness, building community, and inspiring action. The finish line may be in sight, but the impact of Ride Pat Ride will continue long after the final mile is pedaled.

To everyone who has followed along, shared encouragement, donated, sponsored, hosted, prayed, cheered, or simply spread the word, thank you. Your support has powered this journey from the very beginning, and we look forward to sharing more updates as Pat completes this incredible adventure and rides home.

The road ahead is shorter, but the mission continues.

Every mile matters. Every conversation matters. Every step brings us closer to a cure.

Meet Pat:

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. For me, this journey began long before I started planning a route across the country. It started at home, watching my daughter, Mary Kate, navigate the daily challenges of type 1 diabetes with incredible strength. This ride is my way of turning that family experience into a nationwide fundraising effort. Not just as a cyclist, but as a father who believes that with enough collective determination, we can find a cure.

In mid-July, I’ll set out from La Push, WA, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean just west of Seattle, and I’ll ride home to Richmond, VA. I would LOVE for you to be a part of this adventure.  This isn't just about the miles I’m pedaling; it’s about the T1D community I’m engaging with along the way.    Whether you’re here to track my progress, learn more about the cause, or share your own story, I’m honored to have you along for the ride.

Let’s see what we can accomplish together, one mile at a time!
